Some Labor Day Weekend Ideas!

Here are some suggestions of things to do this Labor Day weekend. Whatever you do, wherever you go ... have a Happy and Safe holiday!

Summer Plaza Concert Series

Friday, Noon-1pm at the Old Courthouse Museum FREE!

Last show of the season, featuring Patchouli with Folk, Worldbeat, Flamenco and Jazz.

Lifelight Festival

Friday through Sunday on 280 th Street in Worthing (SD). Concerts featuring 70 bands, a circus for kids at the childrens stage and more. FREE, but tickets are required. You can print them from lifelight.org

Events at Good Earth State Park

Saturday, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Join a Naturalist on an exploration of Good Earth State Park.

Saturday, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Come partake in the Wildlife Olympics and see how you compare to the animals, also at Good Earth State Par., Its fun the whole family can enjoy!

Rolling Thunder Annual Charity Poker Run

Saturday. Registration at 10am at the National Guard Armory in Brookings. $15 per person, $25 per couple. All vehicles are welcome. Benefits the DAV Hospital Transportation Network.

Sounds at the Falls

Saturday, August 30, 2014, 7:00 PM

FREE concert by V-The Noble One at the Queen Bee Mill in Falls Park. Family. Free. No Registration Required. Some seating but you can bring your own chairs.

Moonlight Movies

Saturday at 8:30pm at Fawick Park. Man of Steel will be the featured movie. FREE!

Heartland Country Corn Maze

All weekend. Navigate through this 11 acre corn maze in a design of bears. With a maze map and questions, find checkpoints containing answers. Find hidden checkpoints for a free treat. Bring flashlights for after dark fun. Concessions and restrooms available. Cost: Adults $7.00; Ages 5-10 $5.00; Ages 4 and under are free

Concert

Sunday, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Broken Walls will perform at the Bowden Youth Center in downtown Sioux Falls. Broken Walls is a band that travels around the world communicating a message of restoration dignity, self respect, and Creators Love to all cultures. A meal will follow after the concert.

Kids Craft Room

Monday, September 1, 2014, 9:00 AM

The kids craft room is open for the children to use their imaginations to create pieces of art. In the Museum of Visual Materials in downtown Sioux Falls.

2014 Outdoor Pickleball Clinics for Beginners
