Finding TIME for the Gym

One of the biggest reasons we dont get enough exercise is we simply dont have enough time in the day! And, now that the kids are getting back to schooleveryones routine is about to change! That makes now the PERFECT time to work an exercise plan into your daily schedule!

Any extra time you can dedicate to being active can make a big difference in your waistline!

Heres some tips that will help you get everything doneincluding that work out:

  • First, I know its toughbut log off of facebook! Most of us waste at least 15 minutes snooping around every day.
  • Plan your day. Schedule your biggest task of the day for when youre most focused and productive. Youll get it done more quickly that way and can move on to the next!
  • Set a timer. This is for the little things you do that suck up timesurfing the internet, cleaning the fridge...etc. Give yourself 15 minutes and then be done when it dings.
  • Another hard one, resist multitasking. Youre really not accomplishing morethe more of your focus a task has the faster youll be done.
  • Work out harder, not longer. Studies have shown that high-intensity workouts lasting as little as 2 minutes can improve health better than moderate exercise such as a 90 minute run.
  • Sign up for fitness or dance classes. Find ones that you can conceivably do before or after work, or over your lunch hour. That way your time spent working out is 100% focused and effective and you can be in and out in no time.

  • Just Do It, Even When You Dont Want To - The most important way to ensure you have time to workout, is to do it even when you dont want to. Those are the days that you need to prove your willpower

The best part is, exercise is energizing. The more you do it, the easier it will get to accomplish anything on your to do list.
