Quick Picks-Healthy Snacks on the Go

Having to grab a snack on the go is never ideal, especially when the options are fast food or the convenience store. So, when you're in a pinch, follow these tips from Weight Watchers:

Fresh is Best
Obviously fresh fruit & veggies are ideal. Some convenience stores now carry healthy snacks! Fresh Pineapple is a great way to get that sweet fix. Want something filling, go for a banana!

Fig it Up
If cookies are calling your name, look forFig Newtons, the fat free kind. They're filling, full of fiber and half the points of a peanut butter cookie.

Nut it Up
Another great option-a fruit and nut bar. They are high in fiber and protein. Make sure to find one with as little sugar as possible.Or, grab a snack size back of whole, natural Almonds--another great source of fiber and protein.

Savor Each Piece
Sometimes you have to give in to that sugar craving. And that's okay!Just don't OVER INDULGE. Grab a snack size bag of Jelly Bellys. They are meant to be enjoyed one at a time, and are SUPER flavorful. Savor each one and just 12 jelly beans will be plenty to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Go Dark
If you need some chocolate, dark is the way to go! Dark chocolate is loaded with healthy antioxidants.

Cut Fat & Sugar
Craving a rich coffee drink? A fat free latte with sugar free flavoring. Youll even get a little extra protein from the milk

If you're absolutely famished, mix an oatmeal packet with hot water, and top with banana slices.
