Happy Anniversary, Backstreet Boys !  This past Saturday marked the 20th anniversary for the group, who last year reunited with original member Kevin Richardson and are working on a brand-new album.  On Monday, they'll celebrate that impressive milestone with another one: getting their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"It's amazing," says Howie Dorough of the honor, telling ABC News Radio, "We've all grown up as little kids seeing some of our biggest inspirations get stars on the Walk of Fame, and to see how our fans rallied up and really supported us and championed for us to go out there and get a star is really cool."  What Howie means is that fans actually have to nominate celebrities to receive a star: they can't just ask for one, or buy one.

A.J. McLean agrees with Howie that their success, and their longevity as a group, is all due to their fans. "We have the best fans in the entire universe.  They've been following us through thick and thin, high and low for twenty years.  It's been awesome," he tells ABC News Radio.

But Brian Littrell thinks there's another reason why the group has managed to stick around for so long. "Yes, the fans make us who we are are, but at the same time, we have to be passionate and caring and work oriented and have a drive to wanna do this," he explains. "So, I think, you know, us being together has to do with the chemistry that we have, but also the chemistry that we get from our fans."

Nick Carter says he's thrilled about the star, telling ABC News Radio, "We're more than excited.  I mean it's almost as if I'm being inducted into the Hall of Fame for football, you know?  It feels like that to me...I don't know what to say.  Give me my yellow jacket, you know?  It's just weird."

The guys' star will be located at 7072 Hollywood Boulevard, next to that of another famous boy band, Boyz II Men .  It'll be the 2,495th star on the Walk of Fame, in case you're keeping count.  Super producer and hit songwriter Max Martin , the man behind many of the group's biggest hits, will be on hand to pay tribute to the group, as will a "special Backstreet Boys fan" whose identity has not been revealed.  Can't make it to Hollywood?  Watch the whole thing live at WalkofFame.com at 11: 30 a.m. PT.
