Celine Dion 's English-language album has been in the works for a long time, and on Thursday, fans will finally get to hear some of it.
Celine will appear on Katie Couric 's talk show , Katie , Thursday to premiere exclusively "Water and a Flame," the title track from her first English-language album in six years. The disc is due in October and, as previously reported, will include duets with Stevie Wonder and pop star Ne-Yo .
In addition to welcoming Katie into her studio in Las Vegas for the music premiere, Celine also opens up about her life with husband/manager René , 12-year-old son René Charles and twins Nelson and Eddy . She'll not only discuss the high points, but also the lows, such as her husband's cancer diagnosis and her fertility struggles.
Explaining to Katie why she and her fans have such a strong connection, Celine says it's because she has never hidden any aspect of her life from them.
"I had decided a long time ago that I wanted to be an open book," she explains. "It's been against me pretty much at the beginning of my career that I've talked too much, I shouldn't be that personal...you should keep your private life private."
But then, she laughs, "Helicopters fly above your house and they take pictures, and they take pictures of you in your pool. So, I'm like, I better talk about that, you know?"
