Justin Timberlake has already announced that he's making his movie-producing debut with the film Spinning Gold, about the late legendary music executive Neil Bogart . Now comes word that he'll produce yet another music-centric project, this one a remake of a movie that came out in 1980.
TheWrap.com reports that JT's in talks to produce a reboot of The Idolmaker. Directed by Taylor Hackford , the movie was based on the life of rock concert promoter and producer Bob Marucci , who discovered early teen idols like Frankie Avalon and Fabian .
According to the website, Justin doesn't plan to star in the movie, but that could change, depending on the script and who directs it. He is, however, going to star in Spinning Gold , which starts production next year.
We'll next see Justin on the big screen opposite Ben Affleck in Runner Runner , which opens October 4. In December, he'll appear in Inside Llewyn Davis , the Coen Brothers' film about the folk-music scene in New York City in the sixties.
