Michael Buble recently complained that he didn't want to know the sex of his unborn baby, but his wife was insisting they find out.  Well, now they know -- and he seems to be pretty happy about it.

"We are so excited. We have just come from the hospital and the sonogram was pretty clear...it's a boy!" Michael tells the New York Post . "We are thrilled."

Michael says that he and wife Luisana went for the sonogram just after finding out that the new pontiff, Pope Francis , is from Argentina, which is Luisana's home country. Michael tells the Post , "She said, ‘It is a sign!’ But there’s no way we are going to call him [Francis], even if it did work well for Frank Sinatra .”
