SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Ten South Dakota men have been arrested in a multi-year investigation into illegal gun and drug trafficking.
U-S Attorney Brendan Johnson says eight of the suspects are from Watertown, one is from Deadwood and 55-year-old Patricio Rodriguez Pena of Sioux Falls is charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Johnson says Operation Black Widow was an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco. Firearms and Explosives.
A-T-F Special Agent in Charge Scott Sweetow says the suspects allegedly committed violent crimes in South Dakota. He says the A-T-F will continue to pursue those who pose a danger to our community.
