Sioux Falls, SD KELO-am) The South Dakota Democratic Party wants Attorney General Marty Jackley to remove himself from the investigation of the Governors Office of Economic Development. Party Executive Director, Zach Crago, says Jackley has a political conflict of interest because it is the Rounds Administration being investigated and Jackley was appointed by then-Governor Rounds in 2009.
Crago tells KELO-AM that the Democrats would be fine with another Republican taking over the state probe. They just think Jackley needs to go.
This complicated investigation involves the Office of Economic Development, a bankrupt meat packing plant in Aberdeen, and a controversial federal program - the EB-5 program -that allowed foreigners to invest in American companies in return for green cards.
