Last week, Madonna unveiled her 17-minute short film secretprojectrevolution and announced the launch of Art for Freedom, her online global initiative created to "further freedom of expression."  Now, the Queen of Pop wants you to “express yourself” by creating your own artistic work to support free speech.

Over the course of the next year, Madonna will offer aspiring artists the chance to compete for $10,000 grants, which will be awarded either to a non-profit organization or to a project of the artist's choice.  In order to be considered, you’ll need to submit a video, song, poem or photograph which expresses your personal meaning of freedom and revolution to ArtForFreedom.com.

"I want to help give a creative voice to those who have been silenced and denied their human rights,” says the singer in a statement.  "We have already received many incredible submissions."

She adds, "I am inviting all people to express their thoughts on the subject of freedom, whether it's describing specific persecution they have experienced, sharing how their rights have been violated and/or sharing their ideas creatively regarding fighting injustice."

Madonna and a guest curator will choose a different winner each month: the first one is Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis .
