Rod Stewart 's been around for more than four decades now, and he's still going strong, releasing his most acclaimed album in years, Time , headlining in Las Vegas and doing a North American tour with Steve Winwood .  But Rod says he does foresee a time when he'll retire: in fact, he knows the exact moment.

Speaking to The Detroit News about the career longevity that he and his pals Elton John and Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones have enjoyed, Rod says, "It’s our job. It’s what we do. It’s almost, I would say, it’s our identity and it’s very hard to give up, especially when you love what you do.”  But, he adds, "I do hope I’ve got the dignity and the awareness to bow out at the right time, which is when I’m 93."

Rod's 68 now, so that means he's got 25 years to go before he hangs up his microphone.

Meanwhile, the singer keeps up his busy schedule of recording, performing, working out and playing soccer.  What else does he like to do in his spare time? "Have sex with my wife as much as I can," he quips.
