SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Senator John Thune assailed Obamacare again today in light of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Seblius’ admission of technical problem with the website.
Thune says the administration has so far refused to say how many people have enrolled in plans through the Marketplace.
Thune says millions of cancellation notices are being mailed to individuals who buy their own insurance. The Senator thinks there will be policies, hopefully, available to people, but they're going to be way more costly. He says new policies will have higher deductibles, premiums and co-pays. He says that's because they're going to have to be an Obamacare-approved policy.
Policy cancellations hits one of Obama’s first promises about the law: You can keep your plan.
