SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police found a knife and gloves they believe tied to the murder of Brenda Hansen in a dumpster between the victim’s home and the suspect’s home.
Officer Sam Clemens says both pieces of evidence are being tested. He says the most important results will be if the victim's and suspect's D-N-A show up on the knife and gloves. Clemens describes the weapon as a common folding knife.
41-year-old John Senn of Sioux Falls is facing three counts of murder.
Police say 53-year-old Brenda Lynn Hansen died of knife wounds suffered Wednesday in her home on West Misty Glen Place.
Lincoln County State’s Attorney Tom Wollman says Senn is charged with first degree murder, felony murder, second degree murder, robbery and burglary.
Police say Senn had OxyContin pills that they believe came from the victim’s home.
