The lyrics of Madonna's smash hit "Vogue" feature a laundry list of glamorous style and movie icons of the 20th century.  With the passing of screen legend Lauren Bacall on Tuesday, however, every one of them is now gone.

As Slate points out, Bacall was the last star out of the 16 name-checked in "Vogue" who was still living when the song came out in March of 1990.  At the time, many of the stars had, of course, already passed, such as Marilyn Monroe , James Dean , Grace Kelly , Jean Harlow , and Bette Davis .  Greta Garbo died a month after the song's release.  Before Bacall's death, the most recent star name-checked in the song to pass away was Marlon Brando , in 2004.

From Slate, here's a list of the stars in "Vogue," in the order in which they're mentioned, followed by their death dates:

Greta Garbo (April 15, 1990)
Marilyn Monroe (Aug. 5, 1962)
Marlene Dietrich (May 6, 1992)
Joe DiMaggio (March 8, 1999)
Marlon Brando (July 1, 2004)
James Dean (Sept. 30, 1955)
Grace Kelly (Sept. 14, 1982)
Jean Harlow (June 7, 1937)

Fred Astaire (June 2, 1987)
Ginger Rogers (April 25, 1995)
