PIERRE, S.D. – On Wednesday, Aug. 27, Parkston will be South Dakota’s Capital for a Day. Activities for the day will include a ribbon cutting and ground breaking ceremony, community social and coffee time with the Governor, a Main Street walk, tours and a roundtable meeting.
Citizens are encouraged to attend the community social where they will have the chance to talk one-on-one with Gov. Dennis Daugaard. The social will be held at the Pony Creek Steakhouse, 714 W. Maple St., from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
The First Lady will be reading to kids at the Parkston Public Library, 110 W. Main St., at 1:30 p.m. All children are invited to attend.
