SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A transient eluding Sioux Falls police in a stolen car, hit a vehicle near 10th and Fairfax last night causing his car to rollover.

Police say 30-year-old James Castaneda was speeding over the 11th Street viaduct when officers tried stopping him.

Castaneda fled, hitting two other vehicles before crashing into the third.

He crawled out of the stolen car and was caught in the State Office parking lot.

Officer Sam Clemens say the owner of the stolen car recognized it on a television newscast and called police.

Castaneda is charged with grand theft, possession of stolen property, three counts of hit and run, aggravated eluding, fleeing, reckless driving, driving while suspended and speeding.
