Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) South Dakota gas prices are at a five month high, according to Triple-A South Dakota, at $3.458 per gallon for regular self-serve. The state average has not been this high since five months ago on October 4, 2013.
The latest price average is 28 cents above where it stood one month ago, but 18 cents before the price on the same day a year ago.
South Dakota Triple-A spokeswoman, Marilyn Buskohl, expects that prices will go up an additional 15 to 25 cents into the Spring, but it's unlikely that this year's Spring high will be higher than last year's Spring high.
But Bushkohl says international events, such as the situation in Ukraine, may also contribute to increasing prices.
