Hyaluronic Acid. It’s not new – but, it’s fairly new to me.
A couple of months ago I lost myself in online beauty tutorials (it’s SO easy to do!). Let me set the scene: Me. Alone in the kitchen. Hair UP, face mask ON. While my cuticle oil soaked in, I kept one hand on my glass of (Saint Supry) Sauvignon Blanc – the other on my mouse. Watching video… after video…. after video…. eventually, landing on one that focused on hyaluronic acid. I had never heard of it.
Hyaluronic Acid is naturally produced in your body – and found mostly in your eyes, connective tissue and skin. And, does a beautiful job of bringing moisture to the skin when applied as part of a beauty routine. And, that’s about as science-y as I get!! HA!!
All I know, is that it works. And, I LOVE it! After a couple of days of using it, my skin felt so supple, and soft. It felt like the skin I had in my 20’s!!!! For real!!
I love wearing it at night, and on weekends when I am makeup-free. (Although, I am sure it layers well under makeup!) Typically when I use hyaluronic acid, I:
- Cleanse my face
- Use a toner (to re-balance)
- Apply Hyaluronic acid (PAT & PRESS into the skin)
- Wait 30 seconds, apply moisturizer
The one thing you MUST do for it to be effective, is to put a moisturizer on top of it shortly after applying.
(I usually wait 30 seconds or so). You can find Hyaluronic Acid in all price ranges. This one in particular, is my favorite. And, you can buy it HERE.
I hope you love it as much as I do!!
XO,
Ryan
