SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A new report says South Dakota has the third-highest test positivity rate in the country as COVID-19 continues to spread.
A study from Becker’s Hospital Review citing information from Johns Hopkins University puts South Dakota’s test positivity rate at 19.5%. Idaho ranks first at 24.2%; Wisconsin placed third at 19.5%.
Iowa ranked fourth at 17%. Minnesota’s 4.5% rate ranked 32nd.
The organization ranks South Dakota ninth in COVID reproduction rate, in other words, how fast the virus appears to be spreading.
