HARRISBURG, S.D. (KELO.com) — A two-vehicle accident on South Cliff Avenue near the Harrisburg Industrial Park (272nd Street) about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning is but one example of the deceptive slickness the morning’s fresh coating of snow left on area roads.
Two SUVs ran into each other and ended up next to a utility pole. One wrecker was pulling out one of the SUVs and another was on the way. Two Lincoln County Sheriff’s cruisers were on the scene.
In Sioux Falls, in particular, about 8:45 a.m., side streets like Second Avenue and 13th Street near the KELO Radio studios were snow-covered and slippery.
If you travel in or out of town today, take extra time, watch your speed, and make sure you leave more space for breaking on the slick streets and roads.
