(ELK POINT, S.D.) — A woman died early this morning in a one-vehicle crash north of Elk Point on Interstate 29.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol reports the Dodge Caravan she was driving entered the median, crossed both southbound lanes, went into the ditch, and rolled.
The 38-year-old driver was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is still investigating.
