SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – Sioux Falls Parks and Recreations announced on Facebook Terrace Park Family Aquatic Center is Closed Thursday July 22, due to a diarrhea incident. In accordance with Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation’s water quality policies an incident like this requires the implementation of a disinfection process that requires maintaining elevated chlorine levels for 25 hours. Parks and Rec does follow guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control.
Parks and Rec stated in the Facebook post swimming lessons scheduled for Thursday at Terrace Park will be held at the Midco Aquatic Center at regular times.
Parks and Rec does anticipate Terrace Park pool to reopen on Friday at 9:45 a.m. for swimming lessons and reopen to the public at 1 p.m.
