SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Both the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office and the Sioux Falls Police had cases to discuss at Monday’s police briefing.
68-YEAR-OLD-MAN CHARGED WITH STABBING WITH KNIFE AND HITTING VICTIM WITH A HAMMER
A 68-year-old Ramona man is in jail for stabbing and hitting a victim with a hammer.
Minnehaha County Sheriff’s officials say Kenneth Eugene Bornhorst went to the victim’s door in the 6200 block of North Cliff Avenue early Saturday morning.
When the victim came to the door, authorities say Bornhorst stabbed the victim seven times and hit him two or three times with the hammer.
The victim when to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The sheriff’s office says the two men know each other.
ONE PERSON EJECTED, TWO OTHERS FLEE, FOLLOWING CHASE NEAR RENNER
A pickup truck chasing a compact car ends up with the vehicles hitting the ditch, the pickup driver is thrown and the people in the car fleeing.
Minnehaha County Sheriff’s officials say the Ford F-150 was chasing a Saturn Ion near Renner Saturday morning.
The vehicles went into the ditch, where the F-150 driver was ejected.
They received serious injuries.
The driver and passenger in the car fled the scene and are wanted by the authorities.
ROAD RAGER SHOOTS AT BUT MISSES MOTORIST
Sioux Falls Police are looking for a driver who points a gun and shot at another motorist.
The incident happened Friday night near 15th and Sycamore.
The victim said he saw the driver driving recklessly.
When they tried to take a photo of the driver, the road rager pulled out a gun and fired several shots.
None of the rounds hit the victim or the victim’s vehicle.
The road rager then drove and away.
They remain at large.
