SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Sioux Falls man died after the SUV he was driving ran off the road and into a tree last (Tues) night.
It happened near 54th Street North and North Cliff Avenue at about 6:30 p.m., according to a release from the city. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene after first responders tried to save his life.
The driver was 48 years old. His name was not released.

At 6:37 PM on 10/26/21 emergency personnel responded to the area of 54th St N and N Cliff Ave for a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival they discovered a white SUV had been northbound and left the roadway to the west and crashed into a tree. After significant life saving efforts by emergency personnel, the driver was unfortunately pronounced deceased on scene. He was identified as a 48 year old male Sioux Falls resident. Crash Investigators responded to the scene and are actively investigating the circumstances of the crash. The decedent’s name is being withheld pending notifications of family. The investigation continues at this time.
