SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Last week, South Dakota had the highest covid test positivity rate in the nation at nearly 90% of tests administered.
Now, South Dakota has the second-lowest test positivity rate in the country.
That’s according to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.
The state’s percentage rate has dropped to zero.
Also, while the United States saw a 4% increase in COVID-19 cases Wednesday, South Dakota had a 16% decrease.
That’s according to the New York Times Coronavirus Tracker.
Lincoln County is down to an average of one new case a day.
Minnehaha County saw a 51% decrease.
Minnehaha County is seeing about four new coronavirus cases per day.
