SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — LifeLight returns to Sioux Falls with a religious youth event at the Sioux Falls Arena Saturday.
It is called the Z8 Conference.
Organizers say the central theme is a call to action for Generation Z.
They say the Z8 Initiative is a movement to equip Generation Z to reach their peers.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — LifeLight returns to Sioux Falls with youth event at the Sioux Falls Arena.
The event will kick off at 4:00 p.m. with national worship leaders, hip-hop artists and speakers joining local and regional youth speakers and worship artists.
LifeLight officials will be available to the media on Thursday, May 5 from 9-noon at the Sioux Falls Arena to preview the first big event hosted by the ministry since 2017.
The event will host a roster of well-known artists and speakers, including:
- Nick Hall: An evangelist and international speaker, Hall has appeared at pastor gatherings, student conferences, training events and festivals around the world. https://pulse.org/nick-hall/
- Andy Byrd: Byrd is a speaker and part of the leadership of the University of Nations. He and his wife Holly have dedicated their lives to spiritual awakening in a generation. https://www.cscc.org.sg/speaker/andy-byrd-2/

The event is possible through the support of community sponsors.

“Now is the time for youth to stand up and take their rightful place within the church,” said LifeLight CEO Josh Brewer. “God is calling them to not just sit on the sidelines but to get involved and begin to lead this next generation.”
LifeLight is a Sioux Falls-based non-profit founded in 1998 by Alan and Vicki Greene with the mission of “taking the church outside the walls.” For nearly 20 years, LifeLight hosted what grew into massive Christian music festivals in several locations in the area.
The final festival was held in over the Labor Day weekend in 2016 as LifeLight refocused its efforts into smaller events across the country, mission trips, service programs, and a youth and training center near downtown Sioux Falls.
