SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — For those looking to take in a Memorial Day service on Monday, here is what we’ve put together.
Sioux Falls: State Veterans Cemetery – 8:30 am POST 15 color guard
St Michaels Cemetery – 9:00 am POST 15 gun salute, taps
South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance – 10:00 am The Singing Legionnaires and POST 15. Memorial Day Program on the main event floor. Lunch will be provided.
Brandon: 9:00 am service at Brandon Lutheran Cemetery
Dell Rapids: Parade begins at 10:00 am from City Hall to the City Park. A wagon is available for Veterans and their spouses who wish to ride in the parade and to the park and main cemetery. A Brat Feed will be held at Legion Hall from 11 until 1.
Egan: 9:00 am service at the Egan Methodist Church
Colman: 10:30 am at the Colman Lutheran Cemetery. The Colman-Egan High School Band will provide music and special readings at both Colman and Egan services. Rochelle Binion, Senior Champlain at the VA Health Center in Sioux Falls will give the message.
Valley Springs: 11:00 am service begins at the Post 131 Legion Office, then to Pleasant View Cemetery. David Rieger, Veteran’s Community Project, guest speaker.
