BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The next court hearing for a murder defendant will be moved from Brookings to Flandreau.
The accused, Joseph Gene Hoek, is charged with murder in the death of Moody County Chief Deputy Sheriff Ken Prorock last month.
Attorney General Jackley is anticipated to provide written notice on whether the State intends to seek the death penalty in the case.
The March 13 hearing will be held in front of Circuit Court Judge Gregory Stoltenburg who will preside at the trial.
