Sioux Falls, SD (KELO.com) — This Saturday marks the traditional opening day of the state’s Pheasant season. The Sioux Falls Regional airport will be packed with hunters, guns and hunting dogs for the rest of the week. They will receive a “Hunter’s Welcome” as local businesses will have booths set up in the airport as the hunters head to the baggage claim. This year is expected to be a banner year with high bird numbers.
