Sioux Falls City Council
Sioux Falls, SD (KELO.com) — Sales Tax revenues are on the rebound for the city of Sioux Falls but it’s slow going. The City Council was briefed on results for September. City Finance Director Shawn Pritchett says the growth rate is still below budget projections. One area that showed strong improvement was in the restaurant sector which is up by 20-percent compared to September of last year. Construction permits also broke through the one-billion-dollar figure for the year, driven mostly by commercial building.
