SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Though the crimes Officer Sam Clemens discussed at Friday morning briefing were not on the worst end of the criminal array, Sioux Falls Police were nonetheless kept busy Thursday.
FIGHT DRAWS CROWD NEAR ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL
Authorities are investigating a fight near Roosevelt High School that attracted a crowd of 10 to 15 people.
Two juveniles were involved in the fight at about 4 p.m. after school Thursday.
As all involved in the incident are juveniles, information is sparse.
Sioux Falls Police say they’re trying to sort it out.
DRUNK BUT JUMPED?
Sioux Falls Police say they are investigating the claims of a man who was inebriated who says he was jumped yesterday (Thursday) by 13 people.
However, police say the alleged victim has given them four different locations where the assault occured and varying stories.
The police hope to learn more once the man sobers up.
RUNNING INTO THE POLICE
Sioux Falls Police are looking for a suspect they think they know in connection with an incident last night (Thursday).
Detectives thought they spotted a stolen car.
When they pulled the car over, the driver drove into one of the police cars then opened his door and hit one of the detectives.
The driver then took off at a high rate of speed.
The detective was not seriously injured.
SHOTS FIRED LEADS TO DRUG ARREST
A man sits in jail on drug and firearms charges.
Sioux Falls Police arrested A.J. Tyrell Henderson late Thursday night after he fired a gun in the 2600 block of South Duluth.
Police caught him when he returned with no front license on his car and a cracked windshield.
He is held on charges of reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of meth and marijuana, and other drug-related charges.
No one was injured.
