SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A driver led deputies on a high-speed chase from Parker to Sioux Falls Wednesday night, driving through three spike strips in the process, according to the Turner County Sheriff’s Office.
A release on Facebook says Turner County deputies got a report of “an assault and abduction attempt” at a convenience store in Parker. When they approached the SUV they thought the suspect was in, a person got out and the driver drove off.
Deputies say the chase reached 100 miles per hour. The driver hit spike strips on Highway 44 just west of Lennox, near I-29 south of Tea, and on Western Avenue in Sioux Falls.
The SUV stopped near 26th and Western, where deputies say they chased the driver down and arrested them. They aren’t releasing any more information on the driver because of their age.
