SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) – A South Dakota Highway Patrol officer had to drive into the ditch to avoid being hit by a truck. The officer had just pulled over a car for doing 115 mph.
The truck was stopped shortly afterward and cited for failure to move over.
While waiting for the driver of the truck to exit his vehicle, the car cited for speeding whizzed by and didn’t move over for the sheriff’s deputy and trooper standing outside their vehicles.
The speeder was then stopped again and cited for the move-over violation.
The Highway Patrol reminds people to move over for vehicles stopped along the roadside.
