SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A hit and run earlier today is under investigation by the Sioux Falls Police Department.
Emergency vehicles responded to a crash at the intersection of West 49th Street and South Solberg Avenue around 9:30 this morning (Saturday). Police say a red Ford Escape SUV hit a moped causing serious injury to the driver of the moped, a 41-year-old Sioux Falls man. He was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the Ford Escape fled the scene. The investigation continues as Sioux Falls police attempt to locate the vehicle and the driver. Call 367-7000 if you have any information.
