SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Mayor Paul TenHaken addressed followers on Instagram yesterday, saying he felt the need to talk about what’s on his heart. That’s the physical health and wellness side of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following a morning run in Sioux Falls, the mayor wanted to encourage people to get in game condition and prepare their bodies for when an event like the pandemic happens again. The 100 Miles in 100 Days challenge was a way to help with physical and mental health. The mayor says that will be back in the spring to help get people out and moving.
TenHaken encourages people to step away from things like social media and take care of their body, mind, and soul to help weather physical challenges.
