SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Though COVID cases and hospitalizations are rising and many hospitals are facing staffing shortages, South Dakota is in better shape than nearly all the other states.
That’s according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
They report that 1.5% of South Dakota hospitals report they are understaffed.
That is the third-best rate in the nation.
The national average is 15% understaffing.
