SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The reconstruction of S.D. Highway 46 between Irene and U.S. Highway 81 is scheduled to resume on Monday, April 3rd.
Throughout the duration of the project, that particular stretch of Highway 46 will be closed.
The South Dakota Department of Transportation says that work during the second year of the project will include full roadway grading, interim surfacing, new signing, and intersection lighting at Highway’s 81 and 46.
Detours will be in place during the closure and will redirect motorists to Highway 19, 18 and 81.
The DOT has set a completion date of November 17th of this year.
