Iowa toddler dies in accident

SIOUX CENTER, IA (KELO.com) — A toddler is dead following an accident at a farm residence in Iowa. The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office said the motor vehicle accident occurred about four miles southwest of Sioux Center early Saturday evening. 30-year-old Christopher Maassen was driving a Yukon on the property. He stopped to unhook a trailer and began driving away when he struck 20-month-old Walker Maassen. Walker was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The sheriff’s office asks people to pray or reflect for the family and those who responded.
