PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — South Dakota reports no new coronavirus deaths today.
The death toll remains at 184.
There were 195 new cases for a total of 16,994.
There are 133 South Dakotans currently in hospital.
The total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic is 1,195.
Fourteen thousand four hundred and twenty-four South Dakotans have recovered from the virus.
One hundred and thirty-three new hospitalizations for COVID-19 have been reported in South Dakota.
That’s the largest one day total.
It still represents only 6 percent of hospital capacity.
Back in the spring, state health officials estimated that South Dakota might suffer as many as 5,000 hospitalized cases.
