SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A new documentary on homelessness in Sioux Falls is airing at the State Theatre next week.
Proceeds from each showing of 24 Hours on 8th Street will go towards various non-profit organizations including Midwest Street Medicine, the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House, South Dakota Urban Indian Health and others.
Filmmakers say they originally planned to film for 24 hours but extended the film-making process to a full year after questions led to one plot twist after another.
The State Theatre is selling tickets for showings on August 24th and 25th.
