SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – September brought rain but not enough to overcome fire risk in area fields.
Farmers and firefighters worked to fight a pair of large field fires in the area over the weekend.
Traffic was diverted from the area near a large soybean field fire Saturday that created visibility problems.
Strong winds also quickly spread a field fire near Gayville on Saturday.
Both blazes were doused, and there were no injuries or structures damaged.
