SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The South Dakota Farmers Union is calling for a moratorium on Carbon Capture Pipelines. That comes as opponents to the pipelines have called for a special session of the South Dakota legislature to try to change eminent domain powers given to the pipeline companies. Former state legislator Craig Schaunaman of Brown county believes a moratorium is the next best thing.
Schaunaman appeared on “It’s Your Business” with Bill Zortman along with National Farmers Union president Rob Larew.
South Dakota Farmers Union President Doug Sombke is also calling for a moratorium on the C0-2 pipelines.
