Recount begins in runoff election for Mayor of Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — We may know who the next Mayor of Sioux Falls will be by the end of the week.  A recount of the runoff election began Wednesday morning.  Jamie Smith trailed Christine Erickson by just two votes as the process began.  Both candidates say they feel confident they’ll win when the votes are recounted, but both also say they’re prepared for a lengthy process.
