RAPID CITY, SD (KELO.com) — Western South Dakota is breaking some records residents would like to avoid. The Rapid City airport reached 112 degrees Sunday, breaking the previous record of 111 set in 2006. Triple digits will be scattered across the region again for Monday. Younger adults are encouraged to check on elderly neighbors and relatives.
