Rosebud Sioux Tribe
KEYAPAHA, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Rosebud Sioux Tribe is unanimously suspending Tribal President Kathleen Wooden Knife.
The suspension takes place immediately.
The tribe council voted 17-to-zero in favor of the suspension over alleged malfeasance, lack of leadership, gross misconduct and abandonment of office and duties.
On August 21st, the council will hold a hearing regarding permanent removal.
Vice President Lisa White Pipe will serve as interim president.
