PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) –The killers of Alize Millard must serve three decades in prison after being sentenced Monday.
A federal judge sentenced 27-year-old Dillion Millard and 31-year-old Charmaine Medicine after they were found guilty of hanging and burning Alize from a tree in Ghost Hawk Canyon.
It’s been seven years since Alize’s body was found.
His mom said after the sentencing that she thinks they should have gotten life in prison.
Before handing down the sentence, Judge Eric Schulte said the case was the most viscerally jarring he has seen in his two years in the courtroom.
