SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – Nonprofit Foster605 is hosting a fundraiser for families in the foster care system.
It was funded by Pete and Jen Eekhoff, who were foster parents themselves.
Jenn says the organization is preparing for its annual gala, which will feature a meal, fellowship and lots of baked goods.
Foster605 hosts birthdays for foster children, and their goal is to hold 250 parties next year.
The Eekhoff’s say that effort takes funding and volunteers.
The gala is being held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Catlin Hotel and is free to attend, although there are a limited number of tickets.
