PARKER, S.D. (KELO.com) –Turner County Sheriff’s Deputies are celebrating the discovery of 26 pounds of marijuana on August 1st.
They say that a deputy completed a traffic stop and requested assistance from the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office’s K9 Unit.
Methamphetamine residue was also found on some of the packing material found inside the vehicle.
The bags of drugs seized by law enforcement took up the entire surface of a folding picnic table.
Authorities did not identify the suspect who was pulled over in the traffic stop.
