SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – The International Downtown Association has awarded its highest industry recognition to Downtown Sioux Falls Inc. for its work related to Jacobson Plaza.
The IDA annually recognizes outstanding projects as winners of the Downtown Achievement Awards, which identify advances to urban centers by organizations worldwide.
The industry’s highest recognition, the Pinnacle Award, represents the most inspiring innovations in urban place management.
Jacobson Plaza won in the category of Public Space Management and Operations.
“We are incredibly honored to accept the International Downtown Association’s Pinnacle Award for Jacobson Plaza,” said Brandon Hanson, CEO of DTSF. “This recognition reflects the power of partnership and what can be achieved when the public and private sectors come together around a shared vision for a stronger, more vibrant downtown.”
DTSF accepted the award this week at IDA’s annual Downtown Achievement Awards, presented as part of a conference the organization held in Toronto, Ontario, to discuss emerging trends in place management.
