BRANDON, S.D. (KELO.com) – The Hoversten Orchard is opening up for apple picking season.
Owner David Hoversten says four different apples are ready for picking, including Sunrise, Zestar, Red Free and Premier Honeycrisp.
He says it’s important to get out and pick the fruit early because the summer heat and lack of rain can cause them to fall off the tree early.
The orchard opens on Saturday.
The orchard is located at 25789 480th Ave in Brandon.
